The Ritz / OKU Cape Town

A proposal for the next chapter of The Ritz, informed by the material and spatial character of OKU hotels.

In May 2026, I developed interior design proposals exploring a future identity for The Ritz as OKU Cape Town. The brief was to respond to the design language of other OKU hotels and translate it into the setting of Cape Town.

The proposal brings together warm timber, tactile finishes, restrained lighting and generous views. The guest-room studies consider sleeping, bathing and lounge areas as connected experiences, balancing a calm interior atmosphere with the surrounding city and landscape.
